    Does anyone know how I would add a border to the content area of a custom post type ONLY? I need to add a light grey 2px border to the outer edge of the content area, exactly like this forum. But I only want this border to appear on the single and archive pages of a custom post type?

    Do I need to register two new templates (custom_page_archive.php and custom_single.php) to use for my custom post type and style them? or is there an easier way of doing it?

    Add this in your child theme's style.css and customize it to your liking:

    .single-books .entry,
    .post-type-archive-books .content {
    	box-shadow: 0 0 2px #999;
    }

    Replace "books" in the above with the slug of your CPT.
