    Could somebody please show me how to write text and links with colour and different fonts in a widget that I would place on right side column of my site.

    I saw an example on the blog below where blog names and names of bloggers with link to category of each blog  listed as a widget placed in a side column area.

    Please, also find  attached a screenshot.

    Thanks.

    Not sure if this the perfect way but here is what I do.

    Simply start a "new post", in the post just type out what you want (in visual mode) change your colors and add links as you need them. Then when you have it the way you want. Change your view from visual to text. Copy and paste the code you see into a "text" box in the widgeted area you want and it should work.... You are just using the "new post" to create your code in the "text" view for copy and paste.  When you leave the post it will ask if you want to save it. I don't usually but you may so you can tweak it....

    Blessings,

    ddyow :

    thanks. I have tried what you suggested. It solved the issue half way because, athough I can write in visual mode and later copy the html mode into a text widget, it would not have a layout as desire. The text will be distant from each other and cannot be in two columns  like the example I gave here : http://bigthink.com/blogs because writing in a post page is originally meant for a post structure not in a widget structure.

    braddalton : It seems you didn't fully understand my requets. I am not looking for a web font but for a solution to write formatted text in a widget as columns.

    Use the content columns shortcode and then paste it into the widget.

    You may need to add support for shortcodes in widgets

    add_filter('widget_text', 'do_shortcode');

    Your question different fonts

    How do you plan on using different fonts without writing CSS?
