    Recently when I updated my website it automatically started putting the permalink under each post on the main (home) page before the post meta data. Does anyone know how to remove the permalinks so they don't show up? They also appear whenever you click one of the categories. This isn't happening on my other WordPress site so not sure why it started on this one.

    Thank you so much!

    Ahhh you are using the "beast".... PROSE! You may want to check your Prose settings to locate that information.

    It's because you didn't title the posts, so the theme put those links in to give users some way to access the actual post.

    Your better bet would be to give them a proper title, and then perhaps hide it via css if you don't want it to show up.

    I use Bill Erickson's Title Toggle all the time. There is a default setting to turn the titles off on everything or you can do it on a per page/post basis. Try this - http://wordpress.org/plugins/genesis-title-toggle/.

    Thanks mickmel and anitac. I tried the Title Toggle but it says it only works for Pages not Posts (and I need it for posts). Mickmel - do you know how I would change the CSS to hide the titles? Sorry I am still rather new to changing templates. Thanks again for all your help!

    I believe this would work:

    .entry-title {
    display: none;
    }

    On the plugin itself it states this - "Finally, if you're comfortable with code you can use the be_title_toggle_post_types filter to change the post types this applies to (it only applies to pages by default)." I sent a Tweet out to Bill Erickson the developer of the plugin and he validated that you can use the be_title_toggle_post_types filter and it will work.
