To which folder in my WordPress site can I FTP an Excel document so that I can link to it on the site? I can't convert it to pdf because of the filtering and functions.

I installed the plugin, and when I click on the Upload Document option to upload the 3.6 MG xls document (the max allowable is 8MG), I get a message that says, "Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons."

If all you need is to create a directory from which people can download the Excel file, you can either create a subdirectory in your root directory or, if you do not have access to root, create one in the "Uploads" directory.

If, however, you're wanting to embed an Excel file into a WordPress page or post, then that is a bit more complex. If using the Embed Any Document plugin doesn't work, then perhaps you could try following WordPress' instructions for hosting the file on OneDrive and then embedding it into your WordPress document:

I don't want to embed it on the site, just link to it. So I did FTP it to the uploads directory, and that worked.
    Thank you
