Hi, I'm using a Genesis child theme. I don't like the functionality of Featured Image, and just want a simple straight ahead ability to see the post on the blog page up to a manual "read more" I'll insert. How can I get Genesis child theme to do this?

Right now, it strips out any images, and changes the formatting. For instance, if my article is an image and blockquote styled in italics, the blog page shows just the text, but stripped of italics.

So basically, I want to see the article itself, even the whole thing if I don't put a read more link, including all the images and formatting.

How do I do this in Genesis?

Try the genesis > theme settings > content archives settings.

HTML tags are stripped from excerpts however you can add them back using code.
