I need one of the slides to be an embedded video. How do I do this? There must be a way. Right now all I can do insert an image at the top of a page or post for showing that same image in the slider, then on the page or post I have to embed the video. I want it to instead stay and play directly in the slider. Obviously this means the slider can't change to another slide until the video is complete.

What theme and slider are you using? If you are using the Genesis Slider or Genesis Responsive Slider, you cannot embed video into those. The Soliloquy Slider PRO allows you to do that.

Ok. Well, I'll have to see if the client wants to spend $20 more for that. Is it fairly straightforward to implement within Executive Pro, like drag/drop a widget? If coding is involved, is there any documentation available on integrating with Executive Pro?

You size it according to the dimensions of the original slider area. Whatever the recommended slider size is for Executive Pro. However, if you are looking for the Excerpts to look like the original theme, then you will have to customize the CSS for Soliloquy to look that way. Just follow the plugin instructions.
