Hi,
I have inserted the following embed code in my Magazine Pro Child Theme at:
http://rekindleyourromance.net/dr-rosie-king-talks-sex/The video has been truncated when published! Please assist to show this video in its full size.
EMBED CODE:
<script height="366px" width="650px" src="http://player.ooyala.com/iframe.js#ec=RzNXU0NToRfs386y87KXojEYcNhSgorD&pbid=21046400d6c84f29988e951b5aa85482"></script>

Please assist to get the video to display at the right height.

Looking at the script above, the height of the video should be 366px. However, when I look at the source of your site, the script is contained in a paragraph and actually uses an iframe to display the video. The iframe has dimensions of 750 x 150px.
As a first step, you might want to look how this iframe is being sized. This might be in the way it has been added to your page, or it might be in your style sheet.
Cheers

October 27, 2014 at 5:34 pm #129493Mike GoslingParticipantHi Helena,
Oops, the 750 x 150 px stuff was old html unrelated to the embedded video. It was an old video link which I have removed. It had no effect on the embedded video.
You are right - the issue is in the StudioPress style sheet. It's not my style sheet. I have not touched the theme css at all, and wouldn't know how to.
The issue is the video by http://player.ooyala.com does not work within my StudioPress theme, which is the issue that needs to be addressed by StudioPress. I have tried putting it in an iFrame - that didn't work either.
There seems to be no plugin that will allow ooyala.com videos to play in WordPress. Perhaps that is their intent - they don't want people putting their videos into WP sites.
Can StudioPress advise if there is a way to set the following script into the MagazinePro theme so the height is correct?
<script src="http://player.ooyala.com/iframe.js#ec=RzNXU0NToRfs386y87KXojEYcNhSgorD&pbid=21046400d6c84f29988e951b5aa85482"></script>Thanks,
Mike

October 27, 2014 at 6:25 pm #129498SummerMemberI took the code you pasted in the first post in this thread (although it had bad quotes in it and I had to fix that), and created a test post on a demo site I have running News Pro, and the video shows up just fine, in the dimensions specified in the iframe parameters:
http://demo.atouchofsummer.com/2014/10/video-embed-test-2/
Then I switched it to Magazine Pro (what it's still running now, but the widgets are out of place, obviously), and it's still just fine.
I don't think the problem is with Magazine Pro... there has to be something else in your site, another plugin, or conflicting code, that's causing the issue on your site.

I have used your correct iframe code and the video is now displaying correctly. Thank you.
Perhaps StudioPress could provide a short training video on how to insert iFrames.Mike Gosling
