    Hello,
    I need to create backlinks to my site and I would appreciate some advice on the best way to do this.
    Is it enough to comment on other websites and youtube videos or do I need to actually email other websites asking for backlinks?
    People are probably too busy with their own projects to reply to random emails asking for backlinks and it is just going to be annoying.
    However, from what I've read so far creating backlinks seems to be the best way of generating traffic to a new website.
    Any ideas? Thanks,

    Write great content, and people will naturally link to you.

    Adding comments to other sites *might* help, though some sites add rel=nofollow to commenters URLs to avoid being penalised for linking to bad sites.
