MemberHi,
I want to build a site based on the Genesis theme, but I would like to create a custom landing page.
This is the mock-up I've prepared for the landing page.
I know that the Genesis Theme already has a template for landing pages, but I'm not sure how easy it is to customize the content of that template.
This is why I was thinking about using Twitter Bootstrap (I want the landing page to be responsive as well).
Do you think it is a good idea to create the landing page from scractch using something like Bootstratp?
It would be better to customize the landing page template already available on the Genesis Theme? If that's possible, how can I do that?
Thanks a lot!
Cesc.

ParticipantThe 2 best options are:
1. customize an existing Genesis landing page template
or
2. Install the Premise landing page plugin made by the people who make Genesis

MemberThanks SoZo.
You can see the customization I am talking about in the mock-up that I'm linking in my first message.

MemberSorry, was that there before? If so I need more coffee before opening the computer π
I would just use the landing page template for something that simple. Most of the landing page templates remove the header and nav but it looks like you want to keep those so you can remove those actions from the template. Actually, how would this page be different than the other pages of the site since it includes navigation and the header and wouldn't really be a squeeze/landing page?
You could use the column classes to line things up and body classes if you need it to look different from the rest of the site.

MemberThanks again!
If I'm right, what you suggest is to use the text editor view inside WordPress (instead of the visual view)Β to edit the html of a new page?
If that's the case:
1. Where can I find info about how to use the body and column classes?
2. And finally, how can I edit the CSS for that page then?
I'm a total newbie, as you can see π
