Where do I change the actual text for “[Read More...]” for posts. I can’t seem to find where that is. I know how to change it for the widgets but don’t know where it is for posts.

I'm using the Studiopress News theme.

    Thanks,
    Gio

    Hi Gio,

Have you tried the snippet on this page?

    Thanks for the link.

It looks like you have to copy that into the .php file which I don't really want to start messing with.

Isn't there a way to do this through the theme/wordpress settings? It seems like such a straightforward customization that I assumed would be easily configurable. Like I said, the widgets give you the option to change the text for "Read More" so why wouldn't they make it accessible for posts? I don't know. These little things annoy me but I appreciate all the help. I do.

Is there an easy way to change this text?

    Hi,

I looked into plugins or other non-coding options to do this, and I didn't find anything. Genesis Simple Edits doesn't let you change the Read More text link, and Genesis Simple Hooks lets you change actions but not filters (which is what you need here).

If you're really desperate to change your link text, maybe following this detailed tutorial (steps 1 and 2) will help.
