    Hi!
I am using Daily Dish Pro and I am wondering about the best homepage solution for SEO.
Is it ok for SEO to use the widgetized homepage or better leave it a blank usual wordrepress blog page. If I use widgetized homepage and I have categories like different pages in the blog's menu, can I use also a blog page link or google will see everything as duplicate content?

    Thank you very much!

If the site is a blog, then use the blog as the home page. If it is a website with another function that contains a blog, then use an index page.

Regardless, I would install the Yoast SEO WordPress plugin, and fill out all of the meta information, including for the advanced information. The unpaid version has a simpler layout, or you can turn on the advanced layout to provide more information.

Search engines are pretty advanced. Since their inception of blogs in the early 00s, search engine bots understand that sidebars are not duplicate content.

It is OK to use Categories in the navigation menu.
