I'm using the Modern Portfolio child theme. I want to structure the site (if possible) where you click on a Portfolio post, and it takes you to another homepage template, followed by a post.

The structure would be something like the flowchart below (I'm mainly after the ability to use the custom menu to scroll to separate sections of a page that would be laid out like the home page is on the MP theme).

Is this possible, and if so, how would I go about doing it?

Try using the home.php as a page template. I remember someone trying this a week or so ago and it worked.
