home page disappears on mobile site

hi
as soon as i activate jetpack , my home page disappears on my smart phone, but not on my computer display. on my smart phone, the home page becomes a list of blogs.

in the dashboard, under 'appearance', 'customize', there is an option for 'static home page' or 'blog home page'.
if i select 'static home page', there is no option to select the home page. is there any way to include an option to select the home page as the static home page?
