    Hi, have tried reaching out directly to StudioPress but ticket goes unanswered so am hoping someone here can help.

    I'm a new user of WordPress and am trying to get the posts on my front page to all show as full text (rather than the old ones showing as excerpts). I've tried turning the option off in my settings but it doesn't seem to help.

    Here is my page:

    Jennifer Pirtle – Freelance health copywriter & journalist

    Here is an example of how I'd *LIKE* the posts to appear:

    Can someone please help me? Eternally grateful if you do! 🙂
    Thanks,
    Jennifer

    @jenniferp I'm sorry they haven't responded to you. But what you're asking is a customization and most theme developers provide support for their themes as they work and perform like the demo.

    If you want eleven40 to display like the other website, you'll need to either remove the home.php file in your theme or you can rename it home-off.php. Then check the Content Archive settings to make sure it's set to Entry Content and 0.

    You'll also need to remove this code from the functions.php file.

    add_filter( 'genesis_pre_get_option_content_archive', 'custom_force_full_content' );
    /**
     * Force full content on a specific category archive.
     */
    function custom_force_full_content() {
        if ( is_home ) {
            return 'full';
        }
    }

    Thanks so much for responding.

    I ended up getting help in a WordPress forum and renamed the home.php file as you said.

    Took about 30 seconds. Hooray!

    Best wishes,
    Jennifer
