Been driving me crazy for a few days now and have looked through the forums and google searched, but nothing really seems to come up.

Using Genesis on a few sites and have noticed some inconsistencies between child themes. What I need is for the the First Image In A Post (by way of the "add media" function) to be the default for the Featured Image. So if no featured image is uploaded, that first image in the post becomes the featured image.

What's really odd, is that on some older posts, the first image in the post does default to featured image, in new posts it doesn't...

    Any thoughts suggestions?

    Hi,

could you please check whether the image is attached to the post you are showing it on?

Interesting. It is saying that the image is not attached to the post, actually saying it attached to a different post. That's very weird. I also just ran another test post (Another French Boat Harbor Cocktail Test) and that one is working.

This is exactly the problem I've been having. Some images it seems don't attach properly to the correct post. As far a as I can tell I am not doing anything different when I upload the image or post - I think I always use the drag and drop for images from my desktop.
