    Hello ever1,

I have about 5 thesis blogs and one Tumblr: my main two are THesis blogs oldschoolmusiclover.com and everythingoldisnewagain.net.

I had been unhappy with the level of assistance over the oast years with Thsis and the latest 2.0 version nwas the proverbial straw for me. Purchase Genesis late last year but life adventures have kept me from blogging and setting up Genesis.

I am ready now to modernize my two main THesis blogs but have a major question. Is there a way that I can setup the blog on Host gator using GEnesis whuile letting the current blog(s) remain functional.

Last year when I changes hosts I had quite a few issues (no fault of the new host) and therefore my blog was down for alomst a month. I lost readers that I haven't regained and do not want to go through that again.

If there is a link on the WWW or here in this forum to make the transition easy please point me to it.

IN the meantime I am going to spend the evening reading through to forum to try to learn asa much as I can before making the transition.

    Thanks for reading.

    Hi!

You can set up a test site to install and customize your Genesis theme before changing over on the live site. I have a tutorial on how to do this here: http://www.nutsandboltsmedia.com/how-to-create-a-test-site-for-customizing-your-genesis-child-theme/

Do you have a good backup solution in place? I would be absolutely sure to make a backup of your Thesis blog before you do anything, just in case.

Took me a while to get back. Thank you for the point in the right direction Andrea. It is most appreciated.
