    Hi there,

    I just bought the Beautiful Pro theme, experimenting with it now. With the header dimensions, it seems like we have to stay within 320 x 120… and, when viewed in mobile phone mode, the header & background image are restricted to 320px wide.
    This means a traditional sized header isn't really compatible without the sides being dramatically cropped.

    However, a couple of the showcase sites on the studio press page seem to have gotten around it. Namely, https://danceypantsdisco.com/ and http://www.thebettermom.com/

    Can anyone shed some light on how?
    Thanks

    Hi,

    you can change the dimensions of the image.

    In functions.php you would have to adjust height and width here:

    //* Add support for custom header
    add_theme_support( 'custom-header', array(
    	'default-text-color'     => '000000',
    	'header-selector'        => '.site-title a',
    	'header-text'            => false,
    	'height'                 => 240,
    	'width'                  => 640,
    ) );

    and in style.css the actual width is dependent on the min-height in .header-image .site-title a {

    Depending on the logo, I'd probably adjust the code from this tutorial for Beautiful Pro instead.

    Okay, thanks Christoph. And what about the background image? I want to reduce the height so it's only about 1cm tall. Any tips? And/or how much would you charge to do this for me? 🙂

    I guess you are referring to the "header banner".
    The height of that is defined in .beautiful .site-header-banner {
