Header graphic has a grey background?

Hello all...

I've created a number of graphics for websites, and use Adobe programs to do so.

When I install the graphic, whether it has a transparent background or a white background, the "white space" around the graphic has a definite shade to it?

Since the background colour of the page is white (#ffffff) and the background of the graphic I create is also the same - white (#ffffff), I am puzzled as to the shade that appears on all my sites.

In the example, the background of the logo is white when I create it - yet the rectangle appears to be shaded when it arrives on the WP site.

Any ideas?

This is what i get in Firebug:

img.centered, .aligncenter {
    border: 1px solid #DDDDDD;
    display: block;
    margin: 0 auto 10px;
    padding: 4px;
}

But the 1px grey border has a line through it.

Did you resolve this?

I'm sorry, I don't know what you are showing me in "Firebug", whatever that is.

And no, so far, I haven't been pointed at a resolution.

When I look at the style.css for the theme, I don't see what you posted above.
