Greetings from a Genesis Newbie

Hi everyone, my name is Dorothy and I just recently discovered Genesis. I've been working in WordPress for almost 2 years and have learned enough to conquer many problems on my own.  However, Genesis is all new to me...and although I've already been able to make changes within my child theme (Legacy) I've run into an odd issue that I'm hoping someone out there can help me with.

The problem started when I first installed Genesis, when I'm creating a post or page, I cannot load any images in the same way I've always done it...through Image Upload. Instead, the window comes up and I either choose to browse for an image, or I choose one from the library and it all seems fine until I click upload or insert - then the box goes white and no images come into my page or post.

I've never encountered this with any of the MANY themes I've worked with, and it really slows me down because I have to close the page and go into the media section to get the url and code it into my page manually.

Is there something simple I'm missing?  Or possibly a setting  that needs to change?  I'd appreciate any guidance I can get. Thanks!

Have you deactivated all plugins to rule out a conflict? Is WP up to date?

Thank you for bringing me back to the basics!  I didn't even go that route because it is a brand new install of WordPress and the handful of Plugins are ones I've used before without problems, so I didn't even think of ruling them out. Sure enough, it was a Plugin,   Elegant Builder by Elegant Themes - that was causing the issue with my images not inserting. It was also causing my Responsive Slider to mess up slightly.  I've used this plugin several times and some of my clients have liked it so I automatically installed it in this last site.  I guess it doesn't get along with Genesis...or maybe the Legacy Child Theme. Anyway...Thanks so much for responding!   Dorothy
