I'd like to set up a Google My Business account for several of my clients. Is there a way to do that under my Google account or do I need to create a Google account for each of my clients? Any help or advice is much appreciated.

You should really set those accounts separately for each client and then add them as the "owner" of the account. Too often I have had clients come to me whose data was being held hostage by a previous developer which is not right. Anything related to a client needs to be set up separately for each client.

I normally create an email address for myself in their hosting account. I then go and set up the Google account and attach all of the respective products, Business, Analytics, Search Console, etc. Once I've completed that process and verified the sites and domain name, I got to Users and I add the client as the owner and then I drop myself down to just a manager.

That's the cleanest way to go so you don't look like you're trying to get over on them by setting it up in your name.

That's a good suggestion. I've had clients who have been on the other end of the hostage situation before. Is it okay to set up a Google My Business account with a [email protected] email address?
