    Hello!

    My web site is http://www.YoureSomethingElse.com.

    I've installed the Google Analytics for WordPress plugin. However, the source code has not installed.

    So far, here are the steps I completed:
    1. Installed GA for WordPress plugin.
    2. Created a GA account and obtained my UA code.
    3. Manually entered UA code in Google Analytics for WordPress Configuration --> GA Settings
    4. Clicked blue button "Updated GA Settings"
    5. Opened web site in IE
    6. Right clicked & selected View Source
    7. Searched for "google -analytics". No source code anywhere.
    8. Logged into GA. Admin --> Tracking Info. Status says "Tracking Installed"
    9. Researched and googled the problem for 2 hours. Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Except maybe to wait 24 hours to see data pop up. However, if source code isn't there, then I assume no data will pop up?!

    Also, I assumed the Google Analytics for WordPress plugin would enter the code for me? Do I need to manually enter the code? If so, I'm a newbie and am not sure on how to enter the code. I appreciate your advice!

    Thank you.

    Easier to simply add the GA script into the Genesis > Theme Settings > Header and Footer scripts box.

    It can take several hours or even a day or so before GA records the data.

    Thanks, Brad, for the help. I think that did the trick! 🙂

    Ok, so I copied this Tracking Code from GA --> Admin -->Tracking Info

    <script type="text/javascript">

      var _gaq = _gaq || [];
      _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-XXXXXXXX-X']);
      _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']);

      (function() {
        var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true;
        ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://ssl' : 'http://www') + '.google-analytics.com/ga.js';
        var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s);
      })();

    </script>

    I pasted the Tracking Code (above) into the Header section in Genesis --> Theme Settings --> Header and Footer Scripts.

    Then I viewed my source code (right clicked on my web site, then selected View Source) to double check the tracking code is there. The code showed up! However, this is on line 17:
    <!-- Google Analytics tracking code not shown because users over level 8 are ignored. -->

    What does that mean? I assume all is well?

    Thank you again for your help. 🙂

    Yes, thank you. My apologies... I was updating my reply, and I think we crossed wires. Thanks again!
