So clicking on a tag within a post leads me to a category page with all the posts that contain this tag. But when I copy and paste the exact same URL to a new browser, it gives me a 404. Has anyone encountered this? ie. clicking on tag on site lists all posts with this tag but copying and pasting the same URL leads to a 404?

This is strange. Since it isn't really a Genesis issue, you may want to post a topic on the WordPress support forum.
