Is it allowed to get rid of the links in the footer of your website that direct to genesis and the childstheme owner?

Yes it's allowed.

Just make sure you give a shoutout when somebody asks where you got your cool theme from 🙂

If you go to http://my.studiopress.com/snippets/footer/#credits and log in, you'll find some code snippets. Otherwise, there's a plugin for that https://wordpress.org/plugins/genesis-simple-edits/
