What is the css to center any text header in Genesis (no child theme) just Genesis out of the box.
Is it:

.site-header {
position: center !important;
}

Use Firebug to find the class and use text-align: center;

I did and that is what it told me but its not working. Must be a standard css from the start right?

You mean you want to center your site title?

You will need to go to the Site Header section in your style.css file and increase the width for the title area and then center it there.
