Genesis slider on home page next to sidebar

Hello awesome people.

I recently installed genesis framework to one of my customers websites and although I found out how to register a new widget area and installed the genesis slider...

...I can't seem to be able to find what hook to use to bring the slider ONLY above the home page post.

So the home page is sidebar/content with several blog posts there and I want the slider to appear ONLY above the blog posts next to the sidebar

Every different hook I tried

genesis_after_content_sidebar_wrap

genesis_before_content

genesis_after_content

it makes the slider overlapping the sidebar even though I have defined the slider to be 650px in with max...

Any ideas?

Try genesis_before_loop or loop_start

However those 2 hooks didn't do the trick

Here is the code I use:

/** Add the featured slider section */
add_action( 'genesis_loop', 'featured' );
function featured() {
if ( is_front_page())
genesis_widget_area( 'Featured', array(
'before' => '',
) );
}

/** Register widget areas */
genesis_register_sidebar( array(
'id' => 'featured',
'name' => __( 'Featured', 'latitude' ),
'description' => __( 'This is the featured section.', 'genesis' ),
) );

I've used:

* genesis_after_content_sidebar_wrap (overlaps over the sidebar although it appears on top of the blog)

* genesis_before_content (overlaps over the sidebar although it appears on top of the blog)

* genesis_after_content (appears under the blog)

* genesis_before_loop (does not appear)

* genesis_loop_start (does not appear)

I think I need to put the slider in a content box or something to limit the size of the slider to 700px width max...

Any ideas?
