Hello, I was going to install and use the Genesis Simple Sidebars plugin on my site, but then noticed that it hasn't been updated in over 2 years. Is this any cause for concern? Are there any alternatives that are more recent?
    Thanks

Probably not (a cause for concern). You could probably contact Support to find out if they still maintain it, or if they have replaced it with something else.

Like everything (in life), it all depends on what you're trying to do ...

You can use "Genesis Widget Generator" Plugin. Using it you can replace the primary/secondary sidebar for pages, posts, cpts, category, tag and taxonomy .

Download Genesis Featured Posts Combo Widget | Simple Grid Layouts Plugin for Posts, CPTs and terms

Sometimes a plugin doesn't need to be updated. I wouldn't consider it a cause for concern, we use it when required

    Hi all,
Thanks very much for your advice. I feel much more relaxed about using GSS now, and the Genesis Widget Generator looks fantastic as well - great tips, thank you 🙂
