    Hi,

    I am just wondering if Genesis Simple Hooks plugins is still safe to install on my website as it has not been updated for last 463 days. Isn't it vulnerable to the hacks and attacks? is there any alternative?

    Its safe and doesn't need updating unless they add the new Genesis 2.0 HTML 5 hooks.

    Another option is to use the PHP code in a custom functions and place it in your child themes functions.php file instead.

    Example:

    function add_genesis_before_post () {
        echo '<div class="before-post">genesis_before_post</div>';
    };
    add_action('genesis_before_post', 'add_genesis_before_post');
