Genesis Sample Theme is Broken!

So I just installed the Framework and the Sample theme. It seems like the Sample theme is missing CSS.

The footer widget area is not styles and there is a underline on the logo link.

Tried reinstalling does same thing. I attached a link so you can see what I mean.

Any ideas of when this will be fixed?

Logo link and menu item links are now underlined in sample theme for accessibility reasons. This is how new sample theme is formatted.

A week ago I reported this issue to Studiopress support - they sent me a link to some dev version that included the css part again for the footer widgets - I'm a little surprised how long it takes them to fix the sample theme on their download page - I've seen many people here having an issue with the sample theme - here is the missing part - just add it to your style.css file:

Yes, I know the link for the new sample theme. I believe they are yet to update "official sample theme" in "downloads" area due to this reason.

You know if and when there will be updates?
For example Agency Pro, eleven40 Pro, NOT updated for at least one year.

@macrunner StudioPress child themes are rarely updated - they very rarely need it. No notices are published for child theme updates when they do occur and there is no mechanism to update installed child themes.

Overall changes and improvements are published through Genesis Framework updates, just as a parent theme would be updated. Improvements or mods in child themes are not expected to be applied to existing installations.

There are exceptional situations, like this with Sample, that can be frustrating. :/
