    my homepage has a slider and now i want to add three posts horizontally under the slider. Each will have a headline, image, lead in sentence, and a read more.
    I typed in
    INDUSTRY HAPPENINGS (as the title for the new section)
    into the page using page editor and it appears way too low, the three posts would sit under this new title.

    The wording that appears above the slider is a line of text which I entered into the page right above the shortcode for the slider, but it seems the slider does not add padding to the top of the slider window just the bottom?

    I've tweaked the css a little already around the header and primary nav menu.

    There's many ways to do is.

    You can use 3 widgets or one widget populated with the Genesis featured posts widget.

    Or a loop with column classes.
