There isn't a block for the Genesis Responsive Slider at the moment. You can find another slider like Meta Slider. But if you really want to use Genesis Responsive Slider - you can use a "shortcode" widget plugin which will create a shortcode for placement in a block. Keep in mind you'd still only be able to use one instance of Genesis Responsive Slider, while Meta and other sliders will allow you to create more than one.

Thank you Anita .. have been playing around with different options but fall short when wanting to pull the data from the featured category

after all these years, yet to find a solution to 'my' old lifestyle theme and the simple Dynamic Content Gallery plugin

now with Gutenberg I may be able to achieve what I want

using Magazine Pro as the framework and building from there

Lifestyle was/is still a great theme! It was very popular and easy to setup and use. But I installed the block version of Magazine Pro and I like that too!
