Hi there, my Defender plugin has just alerted me that the plugin has been removed form WordPress. Is this a security issue?

I'm not sure this is an answer, but the WordPress Plugin page for Genesis Responsive Slider has an alert near the top:

This plugin has been closed as of March 27, 2024 and is not available for download. This closure is permanent. Reason: Author Request.

It also states the last update to the plugin was "10 months ago".
