    Okay, this seems more like a Monday morning to me.....I'm trying to install Genesis on a new site. I downloaded a nice fresh copy of Genesis, and have tried to upload the zip file as a new plugin. I've done this three times now (fresh download each time as well) and each time I get a "The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found. Plugin install failed."

    Have I gotten out of bed into the wrong side of the universe this morning?

    Genesis is not a PLUGIN. You need to go to the themes section and add it as a new theme.

    Hope it's that simple!

    Wow....this is clearly what happens to you when you wake up at about 2am and have been zinging along ever since. I did that. I actually even typed that I tried to upload it as a plugin when I know it is a theme. Duh. Time for coffee. Thanks.
