    Hi everyone!

I'm new here, so please forgive me if this has been addressed already (I searched and couldnt really find a clear answer), but according to this blog post, there will be some new hook functionality that comes with Genesis 2.0.  Does this mean that a beginner Genesis user (like myself) that is currently learning the hook system on version 1.9.2 is learning something that will become obsolete? Again, please excuse my ignorance, but im just starting to learn how this hook stuff works and to hear that changes are being made makes me wonder if I should wait until version 2.0 is released.

    Thanks

The concepts won't become obsolete. The names might change, and you might get some extra hook names to learn.

If you learn the concept of hooking in 1.9.2, that knowledge won't be wasted when it comes to thinking about 2.0. If you wait until 2.0 to start learning, you'll just be further behind when you do start compared to the alternate you who started earlier.

If you create templates using the old hooks, you will have to make changes, but if you understand the concepts, you'll have the knowledge to make them.
