    Hi all,

I'm using Genesis framework and News child theme, and am getting an error in my Google Webmaster Tools that says my posts are not correctly displaying the "updated" field. Error message on all pages and posts says something along the lines of "Missing: updated".

I'm not personally writing code, and generally using plugins for managing my site. I've found some support for this topic online for the Twenty Eleven and Twenty Twelve themes (http://www.technosultants.com/blog/warning-missing-required-field-updated-wordpress), but would really appreciate any tips for my child theme for this one before heading down that path.

I've also looked on WordPress forums and they kick things back here.

    Thank you for any help.

What version of News? Look in style.css. And are you using the HTML5 version of the theme News Pro?

    Hi songdogtech.

Here's the info from style.css below... version 2.1:

    Theme Name: News Child Theme
    Theme URI: http://www.studiopress.com/themes/news
Description: News is a two or three column child theme created for the Genesis Framework.
    Author: StudioPress
    Author URI: http://www.studiopress.com/

    Version: 2.1

    Tags: black, custom-background, custom-header, custom-menu, featured-images, fixed-width, gray, left-sidebar, one-column, right-sidebar, sticky-post, theme-options, threaded-comments, three-columns, translation-ready, two-columns, white

    Template: genesis
    Template Version: 1.8.2

    ---
According to Current Theme info, says "News Child Theme Version 2.1" but nothing about it being "Pro"

Am using Genesis 2.0.2 according to theme settings.

As for HTML5, I don't know how to tell, but I recall enabling HTML5 somehow a few months back. Sorry for the vague knowledge here.

@songdogtech - I now see the News Pro theme and am going to buy News Pro and give this a try.

Has this been addressed? I cannot find a solution to the Missing: updated error. I am using the Prose Theme.
