First of all, you might want to view this in a browser where you have an ad blocker installed. 😉

On the home page, we are using the Genesis Featured Widget Amplified to show the Recent Posts section and it is set to show only 4 posts. However, the only way to get it to actually show ONLY 4 posts is to go to Settings > Reading > and set it to show 4 there. For some reason, the GFWA is not listening to its own setting (or I'm missing something).

On the category pages (http://goo.gl/PHoUQ), only 4 posts are showing (makes sense since that's what's in Settings > Reading). I need it to show way more than 4 but if I increase the number, then there are too many posts on the home page.

    Help?

No solution, but I just recently had the same problem. Weird thing is I have one instance of GFWA on the top of the home page showing 1 post...works great. Then two, side by side, Featured Page widgets...then another GFWA that are full page and set to 4. But I get more if my Reading settings are not set to 4 as well. Here's my site http://oilessentials.org/

On the first site, I see that you have pagination enabled. The post per page has to be set to the same as your reading settings. If it were two different numbers you would get 404 errors.

The other suggestion I would have is to disable all plugins to make sure another plugin isn't affecting anything.

Thanks so much, Nick. I didn't realize that about the pagination. I thought I had to have that enabled if I wanted the navigation at the bottom. I disabled it and now it works perfectly. Thanks again!
