    Hi,
I'm using the Streamline theme which comes with Genesis eNews Extended as the newsletter in the primary sidebar. Currently, I have it set to my Feedburner i.d., but I want a way to send more customized communication to my subscribers. Should I not include the Feedburner i.d. and if so, what is the result of that?

If I use a different plugin (such as one from MailChimp) will it affect the look of the theme?

Or lastly, I have Wishlist Member installed on the site. Is there something I can do with that in the same widgeted area?

My main concern is messing up what the theme looks like with that cute little newsletter sign up.

Using a different service will not affect the look of the theme, if you do not add in additional fields. Brandon Kraft, the creator of the plugin, has some styling tips on his site for using a service such as AWeber or Mailchimp, if you want to include additional fields.

Can you tell me what "form action" means on this widget? Is that something that becomes obvious when I sign up with MailChimp or one of the others? And finally, is it a waste to sign up with one of these when I have WishList member?

    Thank you, Susan.

    Margery:

"Form Action" is something that you will use when you use MailChimp. "Hidden fields" is something that is used with AWeber. (other services may use one or the other of them).

I'm not sure what WishList member is, so I can't comment whether it is a waste to sign up with another service. Both MailChimp and AWeber offer a free service and/or a free trial, so you could see what you think...

Sorry Susan...one more question on this topic. I signed up for MailChimp and I don't see an answer for what to put in the "form action" box on the Genesis eNews Extended. I only see info on adding the MailChimp List Subscribe Form plugin.

Im trying to get this working on my Decor Genesis theme and I keep getting the following message:

The feed does not have subscriptions by email enabled

But when i look at my Feedburner subscriptions page it says it is enabled???

When you create a mailing list in Mailchimp, one of the steps would be to create signup form. within one of those steps, you can copy the code for the form's optin box, It is this code that includes all the form action stuff. I'm going to see how this works with my client's MailChimp list (for right now I am using the MailChimp plugin).

You're right. If you include your FeedBurner, then you can't use the other features for a newsletter subscription.
