Gaps between widgets in Genesis

[Belinda]

I have used the Search widget in the Header Right section of the Genesis theme and there is a large gap between the title and the actual search box, how do I make this gap smaller??

I also have a text widget in the Primary Sidebar and I've got Facebook Like button code in there and it works fine but there is a huge space between the bottom of this text widget and the next widget in the sidebar which is the Recent Posts one.

Any ideas on how to reduce the sizes?? I've found a few things online but each thing I've found has suggested a different method and I tried one method and nothing seemed to change on the site.

I've managed to work out how to fix the spacing around the text widget containing the facebook code however Firebug did not show me how to fix the other part..

Now I'm having trouble with the loading circle just keeps spinning when I save things and now the save function doesn't seem to be working.
