    Hello.

    I'm using the sample child theme.

    I have a header with a logo, and right widget area containing the site's navigation.

    I want to have the header span the full width of the viewport.

    Does that mean moving the header to outside of the wrap? If so, how do I do that?

    Not sure what version of the sample child theme you are using, but try this:

    http://www.carriedils.com/customize-genesis-move-header/
