    Hi All ,

Im trying to wrap my head around this one problem , I want my site to have a full header width , I changed the header settings in the functions.php to 1140px (width) by 400px (Height) and I successfully changed the header section on the style as well. This works fine for me , my header which I designed with the setting of 1140 x 400 fits 100% !!

I issue is this is not the full width of the page ? Its about 70% of the page width. What setting would I need for a full header ? I always thought it was 1140px ? I thought about making the size in percentage and not px but then I am still limited by the actual header size which is 1140x400 in any case.

Hope that makes any sense to you all.

    Thanks

if your monitor is only 1140px wide then yes it will take up 100%. Most monitors these days are 1980x1040.

You can use percentages, that way the image should stretch or shrink to fit. Just make sure to make the header 100% and the image 100% as well. work from there, you might need to make the image 99.99% or something but you won't know until you try it.
