ParticipantThis has happened to me a few times now so I don't think it's an isolated thing. When I post a reply, bbPress sends me to the wrong URL and shows a 404 page. For example, I replied to this thread:
After clicking Submit, I was sent to this URL:
My reply, however, was successfully posted. Thanks for looking into it!

MemberThis is a known issue. We re working to identify why this is happening and will be fixing it once we can work it up.

MemberSame with me, every time I post replies or such: the reply gets posted but I land on a 404 page or on a different forum index or such... it differs from time to time.
Just to report. Yes, it's very annoying. However, I know you the StudioPress team is on it -- THANK YOU!

MemberThis seems to only happen to me when I come from an email letting me know there's a reply. It may have something to do with the permalink?

MemberTestingMy assumption is correct.
1) Copy a permalink from this thread.
2) Open new tab and paste URL
3) Reply goes to 404

MemberWe have applied a potential fix for this. Please let us know if you encounter this issue anymore. Thanks.

MemberHi Nick!
Thanks for the feedback!
The issue seems to be still there: it seems to happen especially when I am open a topic from the no-replies view or from a forum search. I open the topic into a new browser tab, then answer, then I get the 404...
If I go to topics with the forums hierarchy all seems to work (now).
I know it's strange but maybe you'll find out something more. If not; I could live with that, as long as no functionality itself is "broken".
Thanks for your hard work, Dave 🙂

MemberDave,
Could you post the URL you get when you are given a 404 now so I can work with Jared and Ron to see if we can resolve this. Thanks.

MemberProblem still not fix.
Your reply was on Jan 16, and I just opened a new thread about this problem yesterday (I didn't realized someone had opened this thread before)

MemberI receive a 404 every time I reply.  The most recent URL that I was redirected to was http://www.studiopress.community/topic/new-genesis-plugin/page/2/page/3/#post-20498.
And again for this reply:Â http://www.studiopress.community/?s=404+posting/#post-20499
It does not happen when I edit a post.

ParticipantI'm still having problems with this too. I keep getting an error 404 message with a sitemap after submitting a reply to any of the forum posts here.
