    I'm using Genesis Sample, and footer widgets 2 and 3 don't display in the customizer. You have to go to the dashboard in order to edit them. Does anyone know how to fix that? I have no plugin installed, and this issue is happening with Genesis sample out of the box

    Hi,

    you have to add a widget to footer widget 1 and save it.
    Footer widget 2 and 3 will appear afterwards.

    Genesis checks if the first widget area is used before it outputs widget areas 2 and 3.
    (This is true whetheryou are using Appearance - Widget or the Customizer)
