MemberHello,
We have received some feedback on our site : it is difficult to see the menu choice (right below the logo) on http://www.iexcelbooks.no
This is the standard/default on Agency and I see Studiopress is using the same.
Do you /anyone agree it can be made more visible and if so, do you have a recommendation how to make it, should I remove the hoover over, make it plain white or any other idea?
Thanks in advance.

ParticipantHi Tonje,
Yeah, it is a little on the dark side. It doesn't really bother me, but I can see how some could think it's too dark. I would just start by adjusting the color in the css... It would be a simple fix. IMHO 🙂
.menu-primary li a,
.menu-secondary li a,
#header .menu li a {
color: #777;
display: block;
font-size: 14px;
padding: 6px 15px 4px;
position: relative;
text-decoration: none;

MemberThank you so much for your help on this. I´ve changed it now, and lets see if it will boost the sales 🙂
For further reference, how is it possible to find it out by myself instead of using forum? I tried the tutorials and beginner guide but without any luck.
Regards

ParticipantI would just suggest learn as much CSS as you can. That will give you a lot of control over the look of your site. Then maybe pickup some PHP skills. You can do wonders with this!
I took an online class in CSS but it was years ago and I can't remember where it was. I think it might've been through the HTML Writer's Guild, hwg.org.
Here's one I know of: http://www.w3schools.com/css/
Also maybe check out lynda.com. http://www.lynda.com/search?q=CSS
Hope this helps.

MemberReally think the header is a little bit to dark. Maybe you change it into dark grey or maybe light blue as you use in the slideshow. And I really like the slideshow. Maybe you take more professional pics of the people. (one background, same image size, logo transparent and so on...)
😉

MemberThank you tedvieira for the advice. I will look into that and get more skilled :-=)
Schreckgespenster, I actually just changed the menu to lighter, but you do you mean the Logo? Shouldnt that be the same as the background of the page itself, as it is now?
The Slideshow is testimonial and pix that people mailed to us, but - yes I do agree, it could definetly have been more professional 🙂
Thanks for your feedback. 🙂

MemberReally love the logo. It's really great. But why do you have a different color logo in your favicon?
I didn't mean the menu. I mean the header itself. I see it black and dark dark grey. I think this is to hard. Maybe light grey or light blue should be good.
If you don't want change the dark header you can change the background color of the slider into a light orange and the hyperlinks in orange also.
Maybe using this hex code:

MemberGreat thank you for the advice. I dont like to change the template itself, which is the choosen background color/header. I have too little skills to start with that.
But changing the color of the slider might be a good idea. I ll look into that. Thanks.
