Featured posts plugin

Hi,

I would like to have featured posts - say the 5 latest/newest from two different categories on my homepage - along with other content together with a thumbnail image for each posts.

What is the best way to do this?

I have seen the Genesis Featured Widget Amplified plugin but this hasn't been updated in two years.

I am uisng a recent posts plugin but it doesn't include images which isn't ideal.

Genesis Sandbox Featured Content Widget is an excellent substitute for GFWA. Use two instances to select posts from each of two categories.

Hi. Would anyone be so kind as to tell me why my private posts are still showing please? I've set one of my post to private, but It's still being displayed inside the sidebar widget on my front page I have it on. I've saved and updated everything but to no avail. Any insight would be great, thanks.

Your best bet would be to start a specific, new thread for your unique problem. Include a link to your site, theme name, etc.

"being displayed inside the sidebar widget" -- you should also include a description of what widget is being used for this in the sidebar: Recent Posts? Genesis featured posts? Genesis Sandbox Featured Content Widget? Genesis Featured Widget Amplified?

You mention one post. Does this happen with other 'private' posts as well?
