Hi, We just launched this site and are wanting to share it but the featured image set for the homepage is not showing up in facebook...The favicon keeps popping up and no meta description is showing either. Any ideas on how to fix this? I would greatly appreciate it. Never had this problem with other Genesis websites. This is weird.

I've had this problem a lot also. I haven't found a great solution for it, just have tried some things that usually but not always work. The biggest thing is to Facebook's debugger page - in a nutshell I think it's there as a way to show tell Facebook the site is configured for OG (open graph) better or something like that?

I don't know all the technical aspects of it but when I paste my url into the debugger and then click "Fetch New Scrape Information" I can usually go back into Facebook and it works.

I've also tried Open Graph Protocol plugin and that really didn't seem to help much or at all - maybe I didn't set it up right.

I'm really interested to see what others have to say about this because it's kind of annoying to have to go to the extra steps (wish it just worked). I also have similar problems when pasting to LinkedIn and once in a while to Pinterest (articles).

Maybe try a new social sharing plugin like AddThis.
