    Hello,

I have a couple websites and I would like to connect the websites. My website using the Genesis system is a blog, that gets updated every day, the other site (a non-Genesis site) is a static marketing site.

What I am looking to do is to have the newest article from my blog displayed on the static site. And while I want it to always update to display the newest article, I don't want to have to update the static page myself.

Is there a snippet, special code, a widget, or a plugin that Genesis or anyone on here recommends that can do what I need?

Hi Aaron. That can definitely be done. You can use the RSS widget that is built into WordPress, and put it into a widget area on your static site (I assume it's a WordPress site).

In the first text box in the widget configuration, enter your blog address with /feed/ at the end. Examples:

    http://yourblog.com/feed/, or
    https://yourblog.com/feed/, or
    http://www.yourblog.com/feed/, or
    https://www.yourblog.com/feed/

You probably want to set it to display 1 item and display the item content.

This will display your latest post from your blog as a widget on your static site.

Or, do you want the latest post from your blog to appear as its own page on your static site? That's doable too, but it will take a bit of code. Let me know if that's what you want.

Thank you very much Carlo Manf for the detailed reply!
All I needed was to showcase an article or two within a small space on my static (wordpress based) page. Your response helped me out, the RSS widget fulfilled my need.
I'd like to style it to look better, but the basic action works.

    Thanks again, Carlo!
