My website crashed earlier today and when researching it looks as the Executive theme is causing this to happen. When I check other themes tied to website that are not activated, they preview just fine though the Executive theme does not. Please help as I do not know why this would be happening.

Hi Brad,

It was a 500 error but, I think it broke the site when I tried to update either the newest version of wordpress or updating the theme first.

I am not sure of the proper protocol update wordpress first or genesis or plugins.

I did get the site back but by the time it was resolved, I lost the layout.

Good lesson to learn. If you have insight into the correct steps, would appreciate your professional guidance.
