Executive Pro – XML file complete?

I'm tinkering around with the Executive Pro theme. I imported the xml file contained in the theme ("sample") to load the demo content. However, I notice some of the content I expected to find associated with the demo is missing, like featured images, pages and posts with same titles as demo, etc. The result is that when I follow instructions to activate the slider, I get a "void" = no images, and the whole sider is collapsed with no content. FYI, I follwed instructions to set up slider, and I ran the regenerate thumbnails plugin, but alas, there are no images to regenerate. This is frustrating, because when I tinkered with the Metro pro theme, the demo content loaded right away. Any ideas?

I just sent support an email about this. I have been having the same problem with Metro and Metro PRO - my images won't import. When I receive a response, I will post it back here.

I received a response from support which follows below:

...we've had to make changes to the way the XML imports work due to the copyright of the images that are used on the Demo sites. We are working on a better long term plan with space holder images instead of no image at all but for the moment any older XML import files will include no images and recently downloaded versions of themes will include the demo XML file for the Sample Genesis theme.

This change was necessary and we are working toward a better long term solution.

So it's not us.. we are doing it correctly.

Look here in the edit widow and you will see the tab-button b-quote. You can wrap your quotes in that.

So this is about a year and a half later. Just tried several times to import executive Pro demo content and I just get grey boxes for the images. Kinda hard to set it up that way.

So are we still just getting place holders on the images??
