    I'm currently familiarizing myself with the stylesheet and functions.php of the Executive Pro theme. I'm learning how quickly I can get some traction in customization with this knowledge alone.

    I'm curious why the functions.php declares the following:

    //* Remove the site description
    remove_action( 'genesis_site_description', 'genesis_seo_site_description' );

    Why wouldn't I want to leave all of the SEO capabilities in tact that are native to Genesis?

    Its purely for design reasons and i doubt would have any impact on SEO whatsoever..

    You can remove that code if you want to display your sites description.
