Am I missing a setting somewhere? Executive Pro child theme, on the home page, the elipsis at the end of featured posts does not link to the post - but it seems to be the intent. User feedback is that is very frustrating: "I keep trying to click the elipsis but nothing happens! Please fix."

If you are using the Featured Post widget, you should add something into the More Text (if applicable): box.

Thanks, Susan, but I'm already doing that. That said, what I entered into the More Text box is not what is showing. I entered, "Read More..." (w/o quotes) and what's displayed is "[...]" without the hyperlink.

Could this be because I don't use the More tag in my post content? I thought the widget would still use the link at the defined character limit.

Any thoughts on this? I tested inserting the more tag and it actually wound up removing the elipsis completely. With my upgrade, I've pretty much stripped out all custom code so I can't understand why this isn't working...

    SOLUTION - Well, sorta...

Whenever I use the post excerpt option, this problem occurs. If I change it use the post content character limit option, it works fine.

Glad you got a resolution of sorts!
