I have a client http://www.thesitsgirls.com/ who is running all categories in the home bottom widget. They want to exclude one category "Trending" from the home bottom widget. They do however want it to continue being in the widget/carosel at the top. How can this be done?

You can't but you can exclude previously displayed posts

    Or

You can install a plugin which extends that widget and includes a setting to exclude posts from specific categories.

Hey Brad, thanks for helping out on this. What is the plug in that extends that widget? I can't seem to find it.

Thanks Brad, I'll check out that one. I installed the Featured Posts Amplified and it screwed up all the programming on the home page. I've never liked that plug in. Hopefully sandbox will get me where I need to be. Really not up for recoding that home page. *fingers crossed
